The Menstrual Cycle
This seminar presents an in-depth review of the hormones that regulate
the menstrual cycle, and the communications between the hormones and the
target organs. Following the presentation of the “normal”
cycle, we address what happens when miscommunications occur between the
hormones and target organs, and what happens when communications between
the hormones and target organs fail.
Behavioral and Lifestyle Management of Premenstrual Syndrome
(PMS)
This seminar presents the symptoms and causes of PMS. Once the attendees
have an understanding of the causes of PMS, they are then presented with
tools and skills that they can employ to relieve the symptoms.
Behavioral and Lifestyle Management of Endometriosis and Uterine
Fibroids
This workshop is the advanced phase of the PMS seminar. Because endometriosis
and fibroids cause such extensive PMS and other reproductive issues, special
attention is given to these ailments with particular tools and tips for
managing the symptoms and problems they create.
Maintaining Optimum Reproductive Health Factors Affecting Fertility
This workshop addresses how ordinary day-to-day activities and habits
affect a woman’s reproductive cycle. Topics covered include diet
and nutrition, exercise, stress, sexually transmitted diseases, smoking,
sleep and alcohol.
Hormonal and Non-Hormonal Management of Menopause
The workshop gives a review of what occurs during menopause, physically
and hormonally. There is a review of hormone replacement therapy, the
pros and the cons, and available options for hormone replacement therapy
(natural vs. synthetic). Finally, behavioral and lifestyle tips for managing
menopausal symptoms are offered.
